A Legal Files Software Case Study
Halley, Talbot & Smithton, a two‑office Oklahoma law firm handling personal injury, workers’ compensation and related litigation, struggled with an inefficient homemade file system built from Outlook and Windows folders. Fragmented calendars, contacts, emails and documents made it hard to find current information or track case status, and past bad experiences left the firm wary of new management systems.
The firm implemented Legal Files across the practice, creating custom windows for workers’ compensation workflows and using document templates/document assembly to auto‑populate forms. Centralizing calendars, documents, emails and deadlines gave immediate access to up‑to‑date information, sped client communications, increased case capacity and materially improved efficiency.
