Speakap is an enterprise social network (SaaS) founded in 2011 in Amsterdam that helps frontline and deskless workers stay connected; today it’s used by more than 350 companies worldwide, including McDonald’s and IKEA. As Speakap scaled rapidly across Europe, it needed a reliable, secure and customizable infrastructure to support fast user growth, ensure low-latency communications and protect customer data.

Leaseweb provided a Hybrid Cloud—Private Cloud built on Apache CloudStack combined with Dedicated Servers and a global network—giving Speakap on-demand scalability, storage/backup redundancy and enterprise-grade security. The setup allowed developers self-service access and minimal support overhead; Speakap’s Private Cloud usage has grown ~20% annually since 2011 (200% growth during 2015–2018), now supporting thousands of employees across 350+ organizations and positioning the company for expansion into North America.
