Salesforce, the San Francisco–based cloud leader, was managing roughly 2,000 leases (about 1,500 tech equipment and 500 real estate/data center leases) across decentralized spreadsheets and CoStar. With new lease accounting standards looming and SOX compliance concerns, Salesforce needed a scalable, centralized lease accounting solution and selected LeaseAccelerator to replace its fragmented processes.
LeaseAccelerator deployed its lease lifecycle automation/subledger and integrated it with Salesforce’s Oracle ERP and BlackLine, centralizing lease documentation, enabling API-based data uploads and BI reporting, and supporting SEC MAR and SOC1/SOX requirements. LeaseAccelerator now manages Salesforce’s $5B portfolio (≈2,000 leases and 120,000 assets), streamlined reporting and reconciliations, and — per Salesforce — saves “thousands of hours per year” while improving visibility for finance, tax, operations and data teams.
