OSF HealthCare saves time and money with lease automation

OSF Healthcare, an integrated health system with 147 locations (including 14 hospitals) managing roughly 600 leases and a ~$250M portfolio, faced fragmented, manual lease processes that hindered ASC 842 readiness, audit preparation, and visibility into renewals—leading to costly auto-renewals and missed lease data. After evaluating options, OSF Healthcare selected LeaseAccelerator’s lease accounting and automation solution to address these challenges.

Using LeaseAccelerator (with partner RGP to locate embedded leases), OSF Healthcare built a centralized lease database, automated workflows and alerts, corrected misclassifications, and implemented straight-line lease and deferred-rent accounting. LeaseAccelerator’s automation enabled full reconciliations by year-end, eliminated about 80 staff hours of audit prep, prevented hundreds of thousands of dollars in evergreen fees, improved cash flow, and simplified ASC 842 compliance and on-demand reporting.
