SmartBear, a leading provider of application performance monitoring, development and testing tools, needed a way to scale customer education quickly: introduce free global training, eliminate manual enrollment and administrative tasks, and launch within a tight timeframe after their previous LMS proved limited.

They implemented LearnUpon to create “SmartBear Academy,” building 28 free and 5 paid courses and serving 550+ customers with a fully branded, easy-to-use portal. Using SCORM content, catalog controls and an API-connected eCommerce flow that auto-creates learner accounts, SmartBear automated delivery, saved admin time, improved onboarding and retention, and gained a new feedback channel (67% of users rate courses 5/5) while enabling future multi-portal expansion.
