School District Pursues Instructional Equity with Technology Curriculum

Chandler Unified School District in Chandler, Arizona serves 44,500 students across 31 elementary, 10 middle, 6 high and 3 alternative schools. Technology Coordinator Cristen Marceau led an effort to address wide variation in technology instruction—rooted in the lack of a standardized curriculum and limited teacher training—that was preventing instructional equity across the district.

The district adopted Learning.com’s EasyTech for its pacing guides, lesson plans and clear scope and sequence, and hired technology teachers to roll out the program and coach classroom staff. With a standardized curriculum plus instructional coaching, Chandler established a consistent pathway for teaching typing, coding, applications and online safety, bringing greater equity and teacher confidence to its digital learning program.
