A Learning Tree International Case Study
The State of Tennessee's IT company faced a challenge common to many organizations: a lack of critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills within its IT workforce, which was limiting productivity. To develop these vital non-technical competencies in its employees, the state partnered with Learning Tree International.
Learning Tree International delivered its customized, two-day instructor-led course, "Optimizing IT Solutions with Critical Thinking and Creative Problem Solving Techniques," to over 290 employees. The solution incorporated the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI) to help employees understand and leverage different thinking styles. The results were highly positive, with the course receiving average scores of 3.85 for content and attendees reporting a 34% average performance improvement. Managers noted immediate practical application of the new skills in improving projects, streamlining processes, and enhancing team collaboration.
