A Learning Stream Case Study
The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, a top-ranked institution, needed an innovative and resource-efficient way to manage its extensive continuing education program, which serves several thousand learners annually across in-person, live online, and asynchronous instruction formats. The school partnered with Learning Stream to serve as the central platform connecting learners with these diverse delivery methods.
Learning Stream provided a flexible solution that integrated with the university's Canvas LMS for asynchronous learning and worked with online meeting platforms, while also capably handling registration, communication, and CE tracking for all class types. By automating core administrative tasks, such as reporting credits to the national clearinghouse, Learning Stream saved significant time and resources. This efficiency allowed the program to grow; Austin Companion, who spearheaded the project, reported a ten to fifteen percent increase in the number of programs offered without needing additional resources, enabling the school to expand its reach to more pharmacists and alumni.
