Preview of the Villeroy & Boch Case Study

Villeroy & Boch - helping create brand ambassadors with elearning

Villeroy & Boch, the world’s leading ceramics producer with 8,000 employees, faced a challenging sales environment where research showed 85% of premium purchase motivation is emotional. To build Brand Ambassadors who promote the brand in sales conversations, Villeroy & Boch worked with Learning Pool Limited, using Stream (formerly Curatr) and Learning Locker with xAPI to design and track a targeted training programme.

Learning Pool Limited delivered a blended Brand Ambassador programme combining Stream-based social learning, face-to-face workshops, webinars and short films, and captured outcomes via xAPI into Learning Locker for an A/B test (online-only vs full blended). Stores receiving the full blended approach outperformed the online-only group with a 5.41% higher Average Transaction Value and a 1.17% conversion rate (0.62% above the A sample), yielding a measured €2.5m return on the training investment.
