TES is the biggest teaching community in the world, and when teacher shortages demanded more flexible, engaging CPD, TES launched Tes Institute to deliver modern online training. After searching the market they partnered with Learning Pool Limited (via HT2 Labs) using the social, gamified Stream platform (formerly Curatr) and later Red Panda and Learning Locker to provide a mobile-ready, peer-driven learning experience.

Learning Pool Limited helped TES build and scale courses that went viral — the Growth Mindset course attracted thousands of teachers — and delivered measurable recognition including a BETT award and a 2018 BETT nomination. By using Stream, Red Panda and Learning Locker, TES now offers on-demand CPD and accredited distance qualifications, records lifelong learning evidence, and within three years turned Tes Institute into a key business unit with demonstrable uptake and accreditation.
