Facing a culture that undervalues workplace learning—limited time for self-study, uninspiring content and poor access to tools—QIC engaged Learning Pool Limited to deliver a blended, practical learning pathway using Stream (formerly Curatr).

Learning Pool Limited implemented a mobile-first, mentor-led programme on Stream combining bite-sized theory, downloadable tools, social learning and gamification; learners uploaded work over a 6-week cycle and received mentor feedback and peer support. The initiative produced measurable gains: 8 trainees completed RCPCH Levels 1 & 2 (2 became mentors), the rest achieved Level 1, participants created QI posters to demonstrate impact, and engagement/completion stood at 40%; the success prompted new cohorts and alumni progression into mentoring and faculty roles.
