Hyndburn Council faced costly, time-consuming classroom training and an earlier e‑learning platform that was hard to use and felt outdated. To make training more accessible and affordable, Hyndburn Council implemented Learning Pool Limited’s LMS along with Learning Pool’s Government and Foundation Skills course suites and an add‑on cyber‑security module.

Learning Pool Limited delivered a branded learning site, “The Hyve,” tailored to Hyndburn’s needs and live in under twelve weeks, offering induction, management and foundation courses and regular content updates. The platform has seen strong engagement—around 200 staff (nearly all employees with computer access) use the system—received positive feedback for ease of use and support, and is enabling Hyndburn Council to shift more face‑to‑face training online.
