InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) needed to upskill more than 3,000 first‑level leaders to have more candid, productive “Brilliant Conversations” across a global workforce of 674,000+ guest rooms. With the start date brought forward, IHG used the Stream platform to deliver a 5‑week MOOC developed in just 4 weeks, and engaged Learning Pool Limited (formerly HT2 Labs) to support the rollout and learning measurement using Learning Locker and xAPI.

Learning Pool Limited helped deliver and measure the MOOC experience: Stream hosted weekly content, live WebEx webinars and user‑generated video, while Learning Pool’s data team used xAPI data in Learning Locker to analyse learning quality. The programme generated over 30,000 responses (100,000 XP), 1,500+ videos from 42 countries and 31,470 comments, and within four weeks showed measurable behaviour change — 50% of participants saw how they could change and 12% had tried a new behaviour.
