Case Study: Obvious Choice achieves a performance-driven, personalized xAPI learning ecosystem with Learning Pool Limited's Learning Locker

A Learning Pool Limited Case Study

Preview of the Obvious Choice Case Study

Innovation behind the world's first Learning Playlist Platform with Obvious Choice

Obvious Choice, the Australia-based creators of the Thrive Learning Playlist Platform, needed an evidence-based, data-driven way to capture xAPI activity and deliver measurable learning and performance insights for clients. To meet this challenge they relied on Learning Pool Limited’s Learning Locker® (Open Source edition) as an xAPI repository and sought to mature their ecosystem to support multiple activity providers and move beyond simple completion reporting.

Learning Pool Limited implemented Learning Locker® to centralize xAPI statements from Thrive (as the initial activity provider) and additional providers such as ForgetMeNot and Baseline, creating a connected learning and performance ecosystem. The solution shifted Obvious Choice’s value proposition from compliance and completion reports to a performance-improvement agenda, enabled personalized recommendations and decision-making for individuals, teams and organisations, and produced a fundamental change in how clients measure and act on learning data.
