A Learning Pool Limited Case Study
Villeroy & Boch, the 270‑year‑old premium ceramics manufacturer, needed to scale its tableware Sales Academy from classroom training to a global digital model that worked across diverse cultures and languages on a tight budget. To do this it partnered with Learning Pool Limited, trialling the Curatr solution (now part of the Stream LXP) to explore e‑learning, blended learning and social/collaborative formats that could reach retail staff worldwide.
Learning Pool Limited ran a three‑month pilot and then implemented the Stream LXP solution, proving blended learning drove the biggest gains (pilot: e‑learning only +1% average transaction value and +0.55% conversion vs blended +6% and +1.17%, ~€2.5m value). The platform rolled out to 1,200 users in 10 languages in 2015 and now serves over 4,000 staff with 200+ blended courses, added an LRS and personalised nudges, and delivered measurable business impact (e.g. +32% average transaction value for “More Excellence in Selling” in UK/USA, +19% porcelain sales in Japan, +15% in Iberia, and mystery‑shop behaviour improvements from 62% to 75%).
