Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS) sought to transform continuing professional education for CPAs from an hours-based, reactionary model to a proactive, social and competency-based approach. To drive that change — and to provide evidence to influence state licensing rules — INCPAS partnered with Learning Pool Limited and adopted Stream (formerly Curatr) as the platform to underpin its CPA Center of Excellence®.

Learning Pool Limited delivered Stream-powered, bite-sized, game-like social courses featuring local experts, integrated with INCPAS’ member management system and sold online. The solution introduced online badges to evidence competence, generated strong learner engagement, created a new revenue stream, and is producing the measurable outcomes INCPAS is using to brief state legislators on moving license renewal to a competency-based model.
