Case Study: City & Country achieves stronger leadership for national growth with Learning Pool Limited

City & Country (C&C) conserves and re-imagines historic buildings to create exceptional places to live and work

City & Country (C&C) needed to build leadership capacity quickly as it expanded nationally and aimed to double turnover. Many Heads of Department were promoted from technical roles and lacked management and leadership skills, while key people were at risk of being headhunted. C&C worked with Athena Professional and used Learning Pool Limited’s Stream learning platform to deliver a development programme focused on behaviour change.

Athena Professional delivered a blended solution—experiential workshops, coaching and social learning with online modules hosted on Learning Pool Limited’s Stream—supported by RACI analysis and 360° feedback benchmarks. The three-level digital curriculum (later streamlined to about an hour per level) allowed flexible learning around busy schedules, and repeated 360° feedback demonstrated individual development and a measurable shift in leadership thinking.
