A Learning Pool Limited Case Study

Preview of the The Entertainer Case Study

Bringing training from print to online

The Entertainer, a UK toy retailer with over 160 shops and 1,600+ staff, faced a major learning challenge: for two decades their core training “Modules” were paper-based, costly to print, hard to update and inconsistently delivered because completion relied on individual line managers. After a market review they selected Learning Pool Limited to modernise learning across the business, opting for Learning Pool Limited’s LMS together with the Foundation Skills Catalogue and the Adapt Builder to move from paper to a blended, digital approach.

Learning Pool Limited implemented a branded platform, “The EnterTrainer,” pre-populated with over 100 courses from the Foundation Skills Catalogue and enhanced via Adapt Builder, plus digital assessment and reporting. The new solution delivered around 100,000 course completions in the first 18 months (≈30,000 mandatory, 70,000 discretionary), saved £8,000 in annual assessment costs and £1,500 in printing, increased initial Module completions by 56%, lifted customers helped in-store from 48% to 51% and overall customer satisfaction from 79% to 81%, and achieved roughly 95% engagement across the audience.
