How Metro Bank digitally transformed employee support during a pandemic in 7 days

Metro Bank faced the challenge of rapidly supporting employee wellbeing and maintaining its supportive culture after the sudden shift to remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic. The bank needed to create an effective digital wellness program to prevent employee isolation, foster a sense of community, and provide personalized support, all under significant time constraints and with minimal cost. To address this, they turned to their existing vendor, Learn Amp, to host a new Health and Wellbeing Hub.

Using the Learn Amp platform, Metro Bank launched the Hub in just seven days. The solution leveraged Learn Amp's web curation and social features to collate expert resources and, most importantly, enabled employees to contribute their own content, such as blogs and tips, creating a peer-to-peer support network. The results were significant, including a 10% increase in mobile learning usage, over 140 employee-contributed learning items, and more than 1,500 high-rated reviews on internal blogs. Learn Amp enabled the creation of a lasting, employee-led community that transformed how the bank supports wellbeing.
