Mixbook, founded in 2006 in Palo Alto, builds customizable photo books, cards and calendars and offers the Mosaic mobile app to make creating photo books fast and easy. Like many m-commerce businesses, Mixbook struggled with mobile cart abandonment—fewer than 1 in 10 mobile shoppers were converting—so recovering those lost sales became a company-wide priority.
To improve conversion, Mixbook used Leanplum’s lifecycle marketing to run an Android A/B test of behavior-triggered push notifications for users who abandoned carts, comparing messaging and creative. The targeted push campaign re-engaged shoppers and delivered a 54% increase in repeat purchase conversion.
