JR Automation Builds a Culture of Continuous Improvement and Employee Engagement with LeanDNA

JR Automation, a global provider of intelligent automated manufacturing and distribution technology solutions, was struggling to turn employee observations into timely action. Their continuous improvement efforts often took more than a year and could stall due to resource constraints, while employees said they didn’t feel heard. To address this, JR Automation turned to LeanDNA’s Lean Projects module to support a more scalable, bottom-up improvement process.

With LeanDNA, JR Automation launched its Waste ID program, using QR-code submissions, standardized project charters, and automated project creation and tracking to move ideas quickly from submission to action. The result was a measurable culture shift: more than 100 employee ideas submitted in year one, a 2-week average from idea to action, and expansion from the first site to three of fifteen locations, with strong employee engagement and a growing pipeline of continuous improvement and Yellow Belt projects.
