How Our Clubhouse (Cancer Bridges) Keeps Remote Employees Stay Connected

The customer, Our Clubhouse (now part of Cancer Bridges), is an organization that supports people affected by cancer. Their challenge was maintaining social connections and casual communication among associates, a need that became critical when the COVID-19 pandemic forced a sudden shift to remote work. The vendor, LEAD, provided its service, LEAD.bot, which was integrated into the company's Slack to facilitate these non-work conversations.

The solution from LEAD was the implementation of its bot to schedule 15-minute virtual coffee chats between employees. This created a space for serendipitous connections and provided associates with an emotional break from their difficult work. The result was sustained team communication and strong social bonds during the remote work period. Our Clubhouse found so much value in the solution from LEAD that they planned to continue using it even as they transitioned to a permanent hybrid work model.
