How Ikea accelerates its transition to phygital

IKEA partnered with Le Wagon to accelerate its transition to a "phygital" model by closing an internal tech talent gap. Instead of recruiting externally, IKEA used Le Wagon’s hands-on bootcamp/upskilling program (Le Wagon for Business) to train junior profiles and in-house talents into engineers and data scientists to improve customer experience online and in stores.

Le Wagon delivered a 100% live remote bootcamp with 2‑hour daily sessions, transforming software-background juniors into collaborative data engineers and data scientists; the program upskilled 18 data engineers and 9 data scientists across 3 countries, produced 5 data models, and taught participants to store and process data in 10 days—helping IKEA avoid hiring, save time and resources, and apply real-life solutions quickly.
