A Lawrence & Schiller Case Study
Lawrence & Schiller partnered with the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation to address the challenge of promoting the small town of Medora, North Dakota, as a major travel and tourism destination. The goal was to showcase how a town with a population of only 130 residents could offer a vast and memorable array of activities and experiences to potential visitors.
The solution involved creating the "Big Little Vacation" campaign, which highlighted the unique juxtapositions of Medora through custom typography, a color palette inspired by the Badlands, and authentic photography and video. Lawrence & Schiller also produced radio spots featuring the town's larger-than-life characters. The campaign achieved significant results, including a 231% increase in average time spent on Medora.com, 2,149 lodging room nights over the goal, and an 11.7% year-over-year increase in visitors to the adjacent Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
