Popular Pays Improves Benefits Offering, Cuts Annual Healthcare Costs with Launchways

Popular Pays, a fast-growing tech company preparing for a Series B funding round, needed to reduce healthcare costs and improve a benefits program that no longer fit its workforce. Launchways stepped in as their benefits broker to replace an out-of-the-box online broker setup with more customized health, dental, and ancillary benefits, along with online benefits enrollment technology.

Launchways conducted an employee survey and healthcare utilization analysis, then redesigned Popular Pays’ medical and dental plans, improved its HSA offering, added short-term disability and voluntary life coverage, and held in-person enrollment education. The result was over 10% in annual medical premium savings, higher employee satisfaction, and much better plan utilization, with more employees moving into better-suited plans and over 25% shifting to the HSA plan.
