The Harvard International Relations Council faced scaling challenges with its outdated, fragmented conference management software, which relied on multiple separate systems. Partnering with LaunchPad Lab, the HIRC sought to build a unified, web-based application to streamline event applications, complex committee assignments, and invoicing for its global Model UN conferences.

LaunchPad Lab developed a scalable web application using Ruby on Rails and Ember.js on AWS. The solution featured a committee and delegate assignment system, QuickBooks integration for automated invoicing, and custom reporting tools. The new platform saved the HIRC weeks of manual work, drastically accelerated application processing, and improved the user experience for administrators and participants worldwide.
