CDK Global, a provider of retail commerce solutions for automotive dealerships, faced a challenge modernizing its manual sales discovery process. For 25 years, sales reps used pen and paper on-site and then spent hours manually inputting data into Salesforce. This process was slow, prone to error, and took over a year for new team members to learn. CDK partnered with LaunchPad Lab to build a new industry-specific application to streamline this process.

LaunchPad Lab designed and developed a Progressive Web App called the Sales Discovery Portal to guide reps through the entire discovery and quoting process. The solution integrated with Salesforce to automatically sync all captured data, eliminating manual entry. The portal was quickly adopted by 80% of the sales team, and LaunchPad Lab's work reduced training time for new reps by more than 90%, cutting it from a year to just a day after training.
