A Launchmetrics Case Study
The Hollywood Reporter (THR), a leading entertainment publication, needed to elevate its red carpet coverage during awards season by moving beyond aesthetic reporting to quantify celebrity-brand influence and capture indirect media value across social and press. To tackle this, THR partnered with Launchmetrics and used its Voice Echo reporting together with the Media Impact Value® (MIV®) algorithm to create a data-driven approach.
Using Launchmetrics’ Voice Echo and MIV®, THR analyzed five major events (Emmys, Golden Globes, Grammys, Oscars, SAG Awards) to identify top male and female voices, measure direct and indirect MIV, and rank top brands and celebrity-brand collaborations across fashion, watches & jewelry, and accessories. The outcome was more dynamic audience engagement, increased brand interest and inquiries, and a measurable way to quantify red carpet ROI—transforming anecdotal moments into actionable business impact for brands and marketers.
