Kate Spade New York, a global lifestyle brand, faced growing losses and misplacement of unique product samples across design, PR, e‑commerce and external partners, which slowed editorial opportunities and product uploads. To solve this, the company turned to Samples by Launchmetrics to digitize and centralize sample management and replace paper trails and ad‑hoc tracking.
Launchmetrics implemented a centralized database, unique barcodes for each sample (printed at factories), and consolidated contact/location tracking across departments so the team could track pieces rather than styles. The solution reduced sample loss and redundant production, sped up communications and PR fulfillment, provided usage analytics for planning, and has barcoded over 129,000 samples through the Launchmetrics system (including 1,000+ for SS16).
