How CFDA Launched NYFW: Men’s Fashion Week

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), a New York–based not-for-profit representing nearly 500 American designers, launched the inaugural NYFW: Men’s and faced the challenge of building a world‑class event from the ground up while accommodating first‑time designers, PR freelancers and interns. To simplify invitations, credentials and check‑in for a diverse set of users, CFDA partnered with Launchmetrics and used the Launchmetrics Events platform.

Launchmetrics implemented digital credentials, seamless check‑in, invitation and seating management, an attendee app, on‑site support, and robust reporting. The platform was used by over 50 CFDA designers in 40+ shows in season one and by over 60 designers in 50+ shows in season two; attendees grew from 2,500 (SS16) to over 7,000 (FW16). Launchmetrics’ reporting gave CFDA precise data on opens, RSVPs and attendance rates, streamlining operations and improving guest experience.
