A LaunchDarkly Case Study
Behalf, a New York–based purchase financing company that provides small businesses with upfront vendor payments and flexible repayment terms, struggled with slow, risky releases. Because updates were rolled out to all users at once, releases could take up to four months and required extensive QA and product reviews; teams hesitated to split large projects for fear of exposing incomplete features, and migrating users to a new product version was especially challenging.
By adopting LaunchDarkly feature flags, Behalf broke large projects into smaller, frequent deployments and ran targeted or dark launches to select customer groups. This shifted conversations from "when" to "how" features get delivered, tightened Product–Engineering collaboration, and reduced risk. LaunchDarkly is now used across Engineering, QA, and Product, enabling faster releases, more focus on quality and automation, and quicker adaptation to user needs.
