Web-Based Certification System for Medical Board

The American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM), which certifies emergency physicians and manages their Maintenance of Certification (MoC) through the Emergency Medical Continuing Certification (EMCC) program, faced a largely manual application and registration process that required significant staff intervention. ABEM wanted a web-based, centralized system to streamline candidate data, registration, scheduling and certification workflows while supporting geographically dispersed diplomates.

LatitudeLearning delivered EMCC Online, an ABEM‑branded LMS that automated candidate data management, exam registration, facility and schedule management, automated location‑based scheduling, and visible certification paths and reports. The platform gave hundreds of users 24/7 access, reduced administrative requests and costs, improved tracking of certification progress, and provided the flexibility and scalability ABEM needed to efficiently manage its distributed candidate population.
