TanMar Companies, LLC is an oil and gas services and equipment rental firm founded in 2007 with about 300 employees across 13 locations in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and New Mexico. The company was using a desktop time-and-attendance system housed on a central server that gave unrestricted administrator access, which led to manipulated timecards, buddy punching and incorrect overtime payouts — and a lengthy payroll processing burden.

TanMar implemented Lathem’s PayClock Online and 14 FaceIN biometric time clocks, restricting administrative access by division and using 60-point facial recognition to prevent buddy punching. The system added detailed audit reporting, stopped timecard manipulation, and cut payroll processing from two administrators over two days to one administrator in about an hour, improving accuracy and reducing labor costs.
