Specialty retailer now prepares employees' time for payroll in minutes instead of hours with PayClock Online employee time and attendance system

CoasterStone is a specialty retailer and natural stone manufacturer founded in 1983 that produces more than 2,000 coaster and promotional designs and employs about 35 people. The company’s legacy time-and-attendance system was slow and server-dependent—managers had to pull and review punches one-by-one, which made payroll preparation take at least an hour and offered little in the way of detailed reporting or remote access.

CoasterStone implemented Lathem’s CloudTouch biometric/badge reader paired with PayClock Online, a cloud-based system with built-in Wi‑Fi and a smartphone app. Real-time data and mobile access let supervisors make adjustments from anywhere; payroll prep is now about 10 minutes (saving roughly one hour per week, ~50 hours a year).
