The Town of Franklin, a small municipality in upstate New York, struggled with manual paper time cards that created errors and made payroll processing cumbersome and office-dependent. Supervisor Art Willman and Secretary Melissa Begor needed a more flexible, accurate way to manage non‑elected employees’ time and attendance so town business could run more efficiently.
They implemented Lathem’s PayClock Online with a PC600 touchscreen proximity badge time clock, moving time records to the cloud for real‑time updates and remote access. The change eliminated manual errors, saved administrative time, allowed payroll to be processed offsite, and gave employees web access to their own timecards—resulting in more accurate, efficient payroll and better overall time management.
