From the Basement to the Cloud: Midwest Basement Systems Upgrades to PayClock Online

Midwest Basement Systems Inc., founded in 1995, is Iowa’s largest basement waterproofing and foundation repair contractor and the exclusive central Iowa dealer for Basement Systems products. During a company-wide move to go paperless and migrate back-office systems to the cloud (Office 365 and a cloud ERP), they needed to replace Lathem’s desktop PayClock software with a cloud-based time and attendance solution that would support their FaceIN time clocks and multiple locations.

They upgraded to Lathem’s PayClock Online, letting managers at three locations view and administer employee time and attendance anywhere, anytime. About 70 employees now clock with FaceIN into PayClock Online; managers approve time and use scheduling to stay within budget, while payroll is streamlined through QuickBooks integration. The cloud setup also provides secure backups, multi-location synchronization, and support—delivering faster payroll, better oversight, and a solution the company says “works great.”
