A LastPass Case Study

InsideSales.com Sought a Password Vault Solution with Shared Folder Capabilities

InsideSales, a 500-person SaaS company focused on sales acceleration, faced unwieldy password management that hurt productivity and security: employees juggled many customer demo accounts, were frustrated by forced 90-day resets, and stored non-traditional credentials (routers, servers) haphazardly—creating poor security habits that concerned IT leadership. They turned to the LastPass password manager to address these challenges.

LastPass was implemented company-wide and added to new-employee onboarding, providing folders for demo accounts, secure storage for database/server/OS credentials, personal password vaults, and reporting to monitor user behavior. As a result, LastPass enabled more efficient customer account management, easier collaboration and productivity across offices, and an increased security posture by allowing employees to create unique, random passwords for each account.
