Westbank First Nation Elevates Employee Experience and Safety

Westbank First Nation, a First Nation government in British Columbia with about 200 staff serving 10,000 residents, needed to break down departmental silos and digitize a large volume of paper records, especially property tax and vital documents. Working with Ricoh Canada, the organization selected Laserfiche as its electronic records management system to replace off-site filing and improve compliance, transparency, and efficiency.

Laserfiche implemented centralized digital document management, Laserfiche Workflow, and Laserfiche Forms to automate approvals, routing, employee requests, and incident reporting. The results included searchable records, fewer paper files, faster turnaround times, improved employee self-service, stronger health and safety tracking, and lower storage and operational costs; WFN also repurposed storage rooms into workspace and used Laserfiche to support contact tracing during the pandemic.
