A Laserfiche Case Study
The Town of Palm Beach used Laserfiche Workflow to streamline its purchasing process but ran into typical exceptions: missing tokens, unlinked attachments, blank fields, permission violations and the difficulty of troubleshooting entries processed in bulk. These issues made it hard to see which purchase orders failed and why, slowing resolution and risking documents sitting in limbo.
To fix this, the team added targeted email notifications (including Entry IDs or PO numbers and direct links) and redesigned workflows into segmented, invoked sub‑workflows so each entry produces an individual result. The changes enabled immediate identification and resolution of failures, faster user training for repeat errors, and more efficient troubleshooting with fewer stalled documents.
