The Translational Pulmonary and Immunology Research Center (TPIRC) is a clinical and research center that develops treatment protocols for rare and orphan diseases and operates a food allergy institute. Faced with siloed, manual processes—spreadsheets, handwritten treatment plans and time-consuming admin work—TPIRC struggled to share large clinical datasets, track patient workflows, scale operations and rapidly respond when COVID‑19 testing became necessary.

TPIRC implemented Laserfiche Cloud with electronic forms, business process automation and reporting/analytics to automate lab result routing, generate treatment-plan forms for the food lab, and build a rapid COVID‑testing workflow. The center quickly rolled out forms and automated processes that prioritized testing, routed results, saved records, reduced practitioner overtime, improved process visibility and analytics, enabled faster treatment planning and lab production, supported 500+ COVID tests, and laid the groundwork for expansion and better patient tracking.
