A Laserfiche Case Study
The Town of Okotoks, Alberta’s largest town serving 30,000+ residents, operated 20 separate business centers with fragmented document filing that caused isolated information, collaboration breakdowns, delays in public services and data-entry errors.
By implementing Laserfiche’s centralized repository with electronic forms, workflow and records management, the town standardized filing across departments and launched 150+ forms-based processes. The system processes over 21,000 digital forms, cut permitting administrative work by about two months per year, shortened fire inspections from 12 to six–eight months, and improved approval speed, transparency and cross-department collaboration.
