A Laserfiche Case Study
Linn‑Benton Community College, a two‑year college serving more than 10,000 students with nearly 900 faculty and staff, faced an urgent need to move classes and operations online when COVID‑19 struck. To protect health and safety and comply with rapidly changing state orders and federal requirements, the college had to quickly coordinate where people were working, provision remote access, track equipment loans, and implement emergency leave policies.
Using its existing Laserfiche platform, IT and HR built automated forms and workflows — including a daily location/status form, a remote‑access request workflow, a 48‑hour FFCRA compliance process, and equipment‑loan tracking — to route tasks, capture documentation, and post information to a web portal. The result: classes began remotely on schedule, business continuity was maintained, regulatory compliance was met, staff time was saved, and the college accelerated its broader digital transformation efforts.
