Lebanese American University Shines with On-Demand Student Services

Lebanese American University (LAU) is an accredited American university in the Middle East with campuses in Beirut and Byblos, about 800 staff and faculty, and roughly 10,000 students. LAU sought to modernize administrative services to match students’ mobile-first preferences and eliminate bottlenecks—especially in admissions, enrollment and graduation processes—by automating Registrar workflows and making services easier to access on any device.

LAU implemented Laserfiche Forms integrated with core systems like Banner and SharePoint and expanded the solution campus-wide to departments such as Student Development, Legal and Facilities. The change enabled on-demand access to transcripts and records, faster advisor review and approvals (days instead of weeks), real-time tracking for students, mobile approvals for executives, and a significant reduction in paper storage and related costs—improving speed, accessibility and sustainability.
