A Laserfiche Case Study
The Township of King, a municipal government in the Greater Toronto Area, faced fragmented paper records, scattered network drives and department silos as it opened a new municipal centre and moved toward digital operations. The organization needed a single, secure system for electronic document and records management that would improve staff access to information, increase collaboration and modernize citizen-facing services.
With support from Ricoh Canada, King implemented Laserfiche as a centralized enterprise content repository and then expanded use to electronic forms and business process automation integrated with its website and payment system. The solution automated routing and approvals, replaced paper forms with online permit/license applications, enabled secure remote access during COVID-19, improved information governance and created analytics and self-service capabilities that accelerated service delivery and strengthened continuity.
