A Laserfiche Case Study
Jackson County, Oregon, was overwhelmed by growing volumes of paper records, limited storage, and complex state and federal retention requirements. Staff relied on manual, time‑consuming filing systems and many departments were skeptical of moving to digital content, making enterprise content management a difficult sell.
By implementing Laserfiche’s DoD‑certified records management with Quick Fields and Workflow (integrated with the county’s Tiburon CAD/RMS), the Sheriff’s Office automated scanning, indexing, retention and routing—creating separate, role‑based views for records managers and deputies and enabling secure document sharing with the District Attorney via WebLink. The solution eliminated manual data entry and misfiling, sped retrieval, reduced costs, and drove wider adoption across other departments (Assessor, HR, etc.), turning initial skeptics into advocates.
