Methodist Healthcare Ministries needed to ensure every new hire had a computer, phone and access to the right systems before day one, but the manual process was slow, error-prone and required time-consuming back-and-forth between HR, hiring managers and IT. They needed a way to standardize requests, enforce deadlines and track progress so employees could start work immediately.
Using Laserfiche Workflow, the organization built a New User form and automated routing, notifications and deadline reminders: HR starts the form, the hiring manager completes required fields within one day, IT receives a populated ticket to provision systems, and Health Informatics finalizes EMR access. The result: onboarding time dropped from days to as little as 30 minutes, new hires have systems ready on day one, IT gets accurate requirements up front, and the workflow can be adjusted quickly as needs change.
