A Laserfiche Case Study
Texas A&M University’s College of Engineering, home to more than 15,000 students and pursuing a “25 by 25” goal to grow enrollment to 25,000 by 2025, needed to scale without doubling staff. Paper-driven HR processes—especially new-employee onboarding that required in-person meetings and physical routing—threatened to slow growth and increase costs.
The college deployed Laserfiche ECM (Forms and Workflow) through the university’s shared IT service to automate onboarding and other HR workflows, enable easy record retrieval for audits, and integrate with departmental databases. Automation cut about 45 minutes per hire; with some 3,400 hires in under a year, that translated to roughly 2,600 hours saved and more than $100,000 in soft savings, while fostering a culture of continuous process improvement.
