How the City of Ithaca Streamlined the Marriage License Process

The City of Ithaca needed to replace an aging proprietary marriage license system that was approaching end-of-life and causing concerns about future maintenance. Working with Laserfiche and its solution provider General Code, the city set out to streamline the marriage license process for residents and staff.

Laserfiche implemented a workflow using Laserfiche Forms and Laserfiche Workflow to capture applications, generate printable documents, store records centrally, and manage certificate requests. The result was a process that can be started from any internet-connected computer, enables faster retrieval of marriage records in just minutes, and makes access easier for homebound or incarcerated applicants.
