A Laserfiche Case Study
The City of Granbury, Texas (pop. ~9,000), faced a paper-heavy accounts payable workflow that forced staff to print electronic invoices, manually key data into its Tyler Incode system, route paper for signatures, and store files in cabinets — a time-consuming process that created audit headaches and frequent overtime. City leaders wanted to eliminate inefficiencies, cut transaction and storage costs, speed turnaround, and strengthen controls by moving toward a paperless office.
Granbury implemented Laserfiche Forms, Workflow and Audit Trail integrated with Tyler Incode so clerks can upload scanned invoices, auto-populate fields, electronically sign and submit forms, and have invoices routed automatically for supervisor and purchasing approval. Documents are stored in a Laserfiche repository with a tamper-evident audit trail; the change cut AP processing from five days to three, saves hundreds of sheets of paper weekly, reduces storage and overtime, and improves access, controls and auditing.
