Laserfiche helped the City of Burnsville, MN, modernize its election judge recruitment process. Facing a paper-heavy workflow that required printing, mailing and manually scoring more than 300 applications and skills tests in a short window, the city clerk’s office spent weeks on administrative work and expensive postage/printing.

By deploying Laserfiche Forms and Workflow the city moved applications and a 20-question skills test online, automated filing, email notifications and test scoring, and stored results in the Laserfiche repository. The change eliminated nearly all manual scoring, saved the deputy city clerk more than 80 hours per election cycle, cut printing and postage costs, improved accuracy and legibility, and was easily reused for other programs such as student election judges.
